Originally from Romania, Janina came to Canada in 1993 and eventually settled in LaSalle in 2002, together with her husband and daughter. Her love for art started from childhood, and the School of Art - Bucharest that she graduated from helped refine her innate talent.

Engineer by profession, Janina still finds time to paint with love and dedication.  She lives in a quiet place by the Detroit River, enjoying the dramatic sunsets, the lull of the swans, and the shiver of the water.  She loves traveling, each journey bringing inspiration and freshness to her paintings.

Most of Janina's paintings belong to private collections in Europe and Canada. She was an active member of the Romanian Association of Artists and the Waterloo Community Art Center.
